On Saturday afternoon, guests will spend a Saturday afternoon sampling premium, highly rated wine and delicious hot and cold hors d’ouvres. Famous names pour alongside exclusive boutique wineries that you may never have the opportunity to taste or purchase outside of this event!

A Wine Tasting, Auction and Sale -

Sip hundreds of vintage California wines, Sip, swirl, buy wine, and bid on auction items while listening to music by Quattrosound.

Ranchita Canyon Vineyard

Ranchita Canyon Vineyard overlooks the beautiful Pleasant Valley, and the first vines were planted in about 1970. The Hinrichs family owns and operates the vineyard and winery with the goal to achieve rich, concentrated, bold fruit. We have south facing rolling hills at 1000′ to 1400′ elevation, with primarily chalky, calcareous soil — well known for producing premium wine grapes.

2016 Food purveyors who will supply food on Saturday, May 14 at Passport to Wine.

Johnny Rebs‘ of Orange and Long Beach

Our authentic southern menu includes favorites such as Barbeque, Catfish and Hushpuppies, Collard Greens, Fried Okra, Black-eyed Peas, Fried Green Tomatoes, Peach Cobbler, Pecan Pie and even Dixie Beer. Eating is serious business in the South and they don’t rush it! Our food is slow cooked the same way. We smoke our meats, some for as long as ten or twelve hours. Whenever we think it’s necessary, we go directly to the South to buy foods such as our country hams which come straight from the farms of Virginia and North Carolina as well as our Catfish, Dixie Beer and Texas Pete Hot Sauce.

Bracken’s Kitchen

You might have run into Bill Bracken at the Peninsula Beverly Hills, the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach (now the Island Hotel) or DivBar restaurant in Newport, where he served as executive chef for a total of 35 years. He is now in charge of Bracken’s Kitchen, a hunger relief organization that provides food to economically deprived people in Southern California.  Bill will be serving his signature Truffle Macaroni and Cheese.

While he was still working in the high profile culinary community, Bracken became involved in working with nonprofits, in particular volunteering as a regular guest chef at the Orange County Rescue Mission in Tustin. It was there that he witnessed first-hand the significant levels of food insecurities that exist in Orange County and set about to find a way to leverage his talent, experience and connections to make a difference and feed the hungry.

Navarro Vineyards

Navarro Vineyards was founded in 1973 by Ted Bennett and Deborah Cahn. In the early seventies Ted and Deborah were searching for a perfect place to grow Gewürztraminer and settled on a 900 acre sheep ranch in the Anderson Valley. The ranch has a rugged terrain and climate similar to Alsace which promised that the grapes would ripen late in the growing season with tart acidity. During the last forty + years they have planted about 120 acres of grapes. As well as their
beloved Gewürztraminer, Navarro grows estate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. Ted and Deborah have been joined by their grown children, Aaron and Sarah Cahn Bennett, who are actively involved in the family business.
